FORT GREENEは、BROOKLYN北西部にある街でFlushing Ave. FlatbushAve. CLINTON HILL等の街に囲まれています。今や富裕層が流れ込み、治安も改善されBROOKLYNの中でも住みやすい地域とされています。
そんなFORT GREENEですが、ブラックカルチャーには縁のある街で、ビギーがデビュー・アルバム「Ready to Die」をレコーディングした場所もFORT GREENEのアパート。
有名なビギーの壁画も、ビギーの功績をたたえて、本名である「Christopher Wallace Way」と命名された道までも近くにあり。
神様マイケルジョーダンやマイクタイソンが産まれた病院も、スパイク・リー映画の舞台になったり彼のスタジオオフィスもこの街なのです。
今回フォーカスしたのはこちらもBROOKLYNと言えばのWU-TANGの奇才、唯一無二の個性、OL'DIRTY BASTERDことODB。
WU-TANGはご存知の通りSTATENが本拠地ですが、メンバーの何名かはBROOKLYN出身です。
ODBはこの街出身で地元の連中でBROOKLYN ZOOというCREWも形成。
そのCREW名が楽曲にもなりましたが、そのＭVで彼が着てた90s当時に流行った某ブランドのスウェットのカラーがソースになっています。
ブランド初のフーディーです。
フードの大きさ、被った時のバランスを考えて、着丈など調整し、形良く仕上がってます。
