Novel Attraction Records, the label of DJ Fuji, who has attracted props from Japan and abroad through his hip-hop project "Middle" with Yamaji da Sportsman and AJIA, and his collaboration with Guilty Simpson as beat scientist The Faaaj, has launched the "Brain Cell ■■■■■■■■■" series, a project that presents an "abstract" and "cinematic" sound world that seems to depict the chaotic modern age. The first installment of this commemorative project, which will showcase works by unique DJs and beatmakers who resonate with this dope and stimulating worldview, is produced by DJ IORI, a talented artist who, while rooted in hip hop, freely manipulates a variety of music, including jazz, dub, and ambient, to create a dope and spiritual world. The track begins with a cinematic opening, featuring meditative string instruments over drone scales that lure you into a deep, dark forest of sound. Mad spoken word and other elements run through a collage-like pattern, building up to a dope sound with thunderous bass. This 60-minute mixtape gem offers a superb sonic journey, incorporating a cinematic development and structure that allows listeners to experience the allure of dub and abstract sounds. The track features undulating beats and grooves rooted in hip-hop, powerful echoes and delays, abstract hip-hop, a captivating downtempo track richly developed with idyllic instrumental performances, and abstract funk with a stepper feel. The track's cinematic development and structure allow listeners to experience the allure of dub and abstract sounds, incorporating a variety of musical elements, including world music, ambient, electronica, bass music, juke, and reggae, creating a superb sonic journey. The artwork is by Satoshi Ito, who also created the artwork for the first and second releases of DJ FUJI's "Brain Cell" albums on Tastee T Production, the label that sparked this series.
